NEDAR FOUNDATION

Our organization NEDAR FOUNDATION is inspired by the spirit and motivation to transform traditional mindsets and dispel the myths about disability and discover the abilities of Persons with Disabilities to become Economically Empowered and be seen as contributors 'at par' to the National wealth.

NEDAR Foundation is a not-for-profit organization registered as a Section 8 Company on 8th October 2021. It is India's first Virtual Business Incubator to Promote and support Entrepreneurs with Disabilities pan India providing customized online/ offline solutions for their business needs through its services - Entrepreneurship Development Training Program, Mentorship, Linkages to Market & Finance, and connect to NEDAR Entrepreneurs Business Network to Start, Sustain & Scale their enterprises.

Since its inception, it has created awareness on 'Entrepreneurship' as an alternate livelihood opportunity for Persons with Disabilities to more than 3000 people and also imparted basic business knowledge, mentoring, and other support services to more than 700 Persons with Disabilities who are entrepreneurs or wish to start their own enterprises. The intense immersive sessions through Virtual Incubator services with their practical experiences have motivated more than thirty percent of candidates to start a new business soon after training and about seventy percent have enhanced their incomes by applying their learned knowledge.

This experience though very inspiring for all, there still exist many challenges in the ecosystem which is not inclusive and have not allowed their business to grow and scale. The stakeholders voiced the need to come together for a common purpose to strengthen each other and this led to the creation of a Business Network ‘NEDAR'  (Network of Entrepreneurs with Disabilities for Assistance and Rehabilitation). NEDAR Entrepreneurs Network is a strong association of over 200 Entrepreneurs (September 2023) across different disabilities from 16 States and 3 UTs in India conducting their businesses in the Manufacturing, Services, and Retail/Trading Industries as 'Invisible Contributors'
